About Tech Cheat Codes

Every tech problem has a cheat code. We write the fix down in plain English so you can get back to your day.

Easy Mode and Pro Mode. Every guide starts in Easy Mode: what to tap, in order, with no jargon. Switch to Pro Mode for the settings paths, the reasons behind each step and links to the official docs. Your choice is remembered on this device.

How we pick tools. We say who each tool suits and who should skip it. Prices and plan limits are checked on the tool's own site, with the date we checked. If we haven't used a tool ourselves, we say so, and it can't be "Our Pick".

How we make money. We don't use paid links yet. When we add them, each one will be labeled. We're also making our own setup templates. The first one is coming soon, and it will be labeled as ours. Read the disclosure.

How we check guides. Every guide is checked against official sources, and we update the date only when the steps actually change.

Who writes this. Guides are written by Richy and Jake and checked before they're published. Richy also writes the news briefs. Tool picks with no named writer are by the Tech Cheat Codes Team.
